I am a sociologist and corporate cultural change facilitator  (to learn more, feel free to visit http://www.karinabutera.com/ and www. projectbalance.com.au).  When I first posed the concept of High Ideals to a handful of respected colleagues in 2008, I had no idea of the trajectory that was being set in motion.  It has been a privilege and pleasure for me to work with such incredible people as we have brought the vision to life, which has now exceeded my earliest dreams and plans.  I love the fact that High Ideals is changing the way we view business – that it’s no longer good enough to operate from self-interest; I love the way we are supporting those who care for the environment and those who altruistically care for others in need all over the global; I love the way we are stimulating thinking for our members and providing a forum for them to connect with like-minded people; and I love the way we are working towards giving young people the encouragement and tools they need to create a better future.  It is with gratitude, optimism and belief in the connecting power of High Ideals, that I serve our members, our supporters and our global community, trusting that I can bring about whatever positive or integrity-based impact I can for the greater good of all.

I am a professional coach and educator with over twenty years experience in various countries, cultures and contexts and I love what I do.  I’m also very grateful to have been named Coach of the Year in 2008 and 2009 by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Coaching.  My coaching and facilitation experience is one of the greatest attributes I can offer to High Ideals. As Chairperson I will employ those skills to support the entire team to continuously explore how we can challenge and inspire thinking, choices, behaviours and outcomes at all levels of our organisation.  These attributes will flow onto the strategic relationships we develop and maintain, in how we connect and serve our members and how we can have a truly positive impact on society and our planet. I am a consultant, speaker, assessor and life coach.  I have a business background in Marketing, PR and Communications with over 25 years experience in the financial services sector.  In 2007 I made the shift from the corporate world to pursue a life where I could live my integrity in a way that built an abundance of positivity and broadened my impact on others.  This lead me to establishing my own life coaching business, live life coaching (http://www.livelifecoaching.com.au/) and I have never looked back. As a Director at High Ideals I utilise my marketing experience to positively influence the promotion of our values to beneficially impact the greater good of all.

After many years in management and sales I founded a consultancy in 1989 called OrgPsych which specialises in improving organisational effectiveness through individual, management, leadership and customer relationship development.  My real passion lies in leadership development as I believe that no matter what role we embrace we are all leaders in our own right.  I believe we are entering a new age of business, an age where empathy is on the agenda - where being a servant is the leadership paradigm; where you need wisdom as well as knowledge and emotional intelligence is a step on the road to wisdom; an age of integrity and self responsibility.  Finding like minded organisations like High Ideals who share my values and principles is proof that we are moving in the right direction.  If you embrace what you believe, live what you enjoy and encourage others from the heart the rewards are tenfold.  I see my role as encouraging people who have high ideals to put up their hand, join us and say "I want to make the world a better place!"

Working in executive management and consulting roles for over 20 years I bring a deep understanding of how businesses can directly benefit from embedding the values of integrity and positivity to make an impact.  I have experience in a diverse range of industry sectors including: Health and Aged Care, Financial Services, Insurance and Hospitality. A common theme that binds success in each of them is how genuine the actions and activity of the leaders are when engaging with all stakeholders.   I strongly believe in the values that underpin High Ideals and their essential part in creating sustainable and relevant business operations. My role within High Ideals is to build and champion the services that promote, support and educate the wider business community to align their actions with these values.

I am a passionate, caring individual, an individual who has a great desire to make a difference in how we can all do things 'better' as individuals, and as a world community.  I see it as a privilege within my role to be able to identify opportunities to prompt our leaders to have a positive lasting impact on our planet, as well as inform and inspire our members of ways they can make a difference in their own way.  Being part of the High Ideals team provides me a wonderful opportunity to work with like-minded people from all professions and walks of life who care - a place where I can make a difference. Instead of doing it alone - which isn't much fun - I get the privilege and fulfilment of working in an incredibly positive team of talented people who share my values, commitment and desire to make a positive contribution to society.  I strongly believe that High Ideals has come at the right time and that through this business we will create the ripple effect and changes our world needs in these very challenging times.

I have many years (too many to dare count!) experience in Executive PA, office administration and events management/coordination roles. I enjoy communication with people at all levels, and pride myself on my very friendly and approachable manner, on being highly organised, diligent, conscientious and highly motivated. I am highly service oriented and believe very strongly in the provision of excellence in customer service. I love my role in the High Ideals team because I get to use these skills working with colleagues who operate with the highest standards of high ideals and serving customers (our members) who also embody the high ideals values! I feel deeply privileged to be associated with High Ideals and I am 100% behind the High Ideals mission to help connect, support and promote those who carry out their dealings with the highest intentions and desire for positive outcomes. I truly believe that this organisation will have an on-going influence on the broader world in a very positive way.

I am the Managing Director of Contact Point IT Services Pty Ltd, a boutique internet solutions provider helping businesses to keep in contact with their customers and suppliers using technology. My business and examples of our work can be viewed at http://www.contactpoint.com.au/ and http://www.enudge.com.au/ (our in-house developed email and sms marketing solution). In providing technology solutions for my clients, meeting expectations in a polite and friendly way, making it easy for my non-techncial peers to understand technical constraints and concerns, and delivering a quality solution, combined with a good measure of commercial practicality have always been key. I have been delighted to work with Karina Butera over the last couple of years as Karina makes such an effort to make working together professional and enjoyable. So when Karina spoke to me about the High Ideals concept, I was glad to be involved; being able to choose business partners and clients knowing that they have similar underlying principles will be a great asset to all.
