Raising individual and collective awareness of High Idealism is a responsibility we take very seriously.
Role – All of us at High Ideals believe we have a role to play, which is to educate, challenge and inspire all to be the best they can be.
Rights – We are part of a global community and therefore believe we also have the right:
to challenge the status quo;
to believe that we can have a positive impact on society, economics and the environment;
to question attitudes and behaviours which might appear to not be based on a common sense understanding of high idealism.
Responsibilities – We accept that in our role and with respect to the rights we believe we have, that we also have certain responsibilities to honour:
to be authentic, fair, compassionate, respectful and honourable in our attitudes, behaviours, strategies and actions;
to ask more questions than make statements so that we’re open to all ideas, facts and perspectives;
to only challenge the status quo and/or potential non-high-idealistic thinking and behaviours in ways which encourage others to ask questions instead of making statements;
to inspire others to engage in critical thinking for themselves about their own thoughts, feelings and behaviours, including their past, present and future decisions and actions, as we do NOT have the right nor would we want to, of telling people what they should think, be or do.
Permissions – We give ourselves permission to:
lead by example;
be inspired and driven by our values;
to be moved by the great works of others and ourselves;
to be humbled by the feedback and criticism generously shared with us and to receive it positively as the gift it is, and honour that feedback by acting on it appropriately as was the purpose of it being shared.
